Meet Nate
Nate Carty is a native Texan who grew up north of Dallas and has been a resident of Austin since 2015. Previously, Nate worked with his brother, Chris, redeveloping properties as part of Carty Custom Builders. As a home builder turned real estate agent, Nate brings a unique perspective to all his clients. He is able to use the knowledge he gained as someone who worked in the home building industry to offer the full scope of a property to prospective buyers.
Nate has an MBA from SMU. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is an Accredited Buyers Representative with a certification in New Home Construction. He uses his knowledge from real-life experience and education to guide clients through sales. Additionally, Nate is able to utilize his background in finance to estimate potential costs and find properties that fit the needs of his clients.
Working with buyers interested in new construction or investors looking for rental properties is Nate’s primary focus. His experience as a builder allows him to offer clients the full picture of a property as opposed to only what is only visible on the surface. His awareness of grading, quality materials, and location makes his expertise invaluable. Nate’s slogan is, “Don’t buy from a builder without a builder on your side!”
As an accomplished Eagle Scout, Nate enjoys spending time in the outdoors, especially with his daughters. They love camping and hiking together. Nate’s daughters are currently following in his footsteps as Cub Scouts, where Nate is the Cubmaster of their pack. Nate is also passionate about the challenges of higher education and has spent many years active in the Texas Exes, a UT Alumni Association. He has served as an officer in their New York chapter for 10 years, several advisory committees, and one term on the Board of Directors.
People describe Nate as driven, innovative, and resourceful. He enjoys seeing homes built from the ground up just as much as property that needs extra care. His drive comes from seeing a project through and hard work pays off in the end. What sets Nate apart is his passion for matching clients with the perfect properties and his dedication to providing honesty to everyone he works with. Mostly, Nate strives for perfection because of his daughters, of whom he is extremely proud. He describes them as “bright, delightful young ladies that constantly bring a smile to my face and remind me of the important things in life.“
